With heavy hearts but a lifetime of cherished memories, we announce the passing of our much-loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother on April 6, 2023. Helen was born in Toronto, Ontario on April 11, 1926, and married her one true love on October 6, 1945. At the age of 96 years (5 days shy of her 97th) she left us to join in heaven her husband of sixty nine years, Russell Paul Edgerton Cleave (2015), her parents Earl & May Courtney, her siblings, Charles, Hank, Irene, Hazel, Ernie, Ted, Annie, and Bob, daughter Pat Berg (2020), granddaughters Jennifer Cleave (2008), Jamie Lee Hubbard (2017), great granddaughter Emma Jimenez (2019), daughter in law Dianne Cleave (2012), and son in law Alan James (2020). She will be forever in the hearts of her children, Paul Cleave, Glen (Marge) Cleave, Nancy James, Luke (Dona) Cleave, and Melodie (Darcy) Anderson; her fourteen grandchildren; Darren, Darla, Jason, Michelle, Blair, Laura, Shawna, Cheryl, Greg, Allison, Daryl, Starla, Rocky, and Sean and their spouses, thirty-three great grandchildren, three great-great grandsons and one great-great granddaughter. Also left with their own memories of Helen are her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

To Helen family was everything and she always cherished her many family gatherings, visits, and phone calls. Helen and Russ lived all their married years in Eyebrow, SK, until moving to Moose Jaw in 1973. Helen especially enjoyed her seven years living at the Mulberry Estates and then the last few months at Extendicare and Providence Place. She was so grateful for the excellent care and compassion she received from all the staff and had made many friends while living there. Helen shared a deep friendship with mutual respect, loyalty, and love for on another.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at the Eyebrow Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband Russell Cleave. In lieu of flowers we ask that you do something kind for someone however small it may be and to always show your appreciation as Helen always did by remembering to say thank you! You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence at the families online obituary. In living memory of Helen, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Ltd. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.jonesparkview.com (Obituaries).
