Darrell “Miscord” Lyle Savoyard Sr.

May 27, 1969 – April 6, 2021

Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at his residence in Wabaseemoong First Nation.

Darrell is survived by his wife of 32 years Marilyn Kent, Mother in-law Rose Kelly, children Jaclyn, Bengamin (Jodie), Dee-Dee (Martin), John, Darell Jr. (CJ), Patrick, Brian and Byron, grandchildren Angel, Kaylan, BoAmbrose, Jack, Shelby, Taysen, Shiloh, Taren, Artemas, Jasper and siblings Melody (Tim), John, Patrick (Gloria), Michael, as well as many numerous relatives and friends too numerous to mention.  

Predeceased by parents Kenneth Bryant and Irene Savoyard, Cecelia Land. Father in-law Jack Kent and mother in-law Linda Kent. Children Sebastian Kent Savoyard and grandchildren Benjamin Sab Leo Kent and Babygirl Cardy.

Darrell spent most of life guiding which he very much enjoyed to provide for his family. He also enjoyed his outdoor bush-craft.  Darrell never hesitated to help anyway that he can in his home community of Wabaseemoong whether it be mc’ing for many occasions and or gatherings, Darrell was your guy.  Miscord was always helping anyway he could even to lend a smile or a kind greeting.  Miscord always had a smile on him and was so kind to everyone he met. Besides being everyone's friend, Darrell was always with his best friend and love of his life, his wife, Marilyn Kent. He dedicated his life to his family and to being the best husband, father and grandfather. Darrell’s eyes would light right up anytime he spoke about his children and never failed to remind them of how proud he is of them all. The love miscord has for his grand babies can’t be put into words, he goes above and beyond for them and their happiness. Darrell will be missed and is cherished by many. His memory and smile will live on.

A Wake Service will begin on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 3:00 pm at the Whitedog School Gymnasium.  Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the Whitedog School Gymnasium officiated by Mary Jane Scott with burial to follow.

Please note that all attendees must follow the COVID protocol, social distancing, sanitization, and masks are mandatory and should be worn at all times, only 30% capacity of the facility are permitted entry.
