June Beverly Miclash-Cormylo

It is with great sadness that the family of June Miclash-Cormylo announces her passing.  Born August 21, 1930, passing away on April 1, 2021, Mom was in her 90th year.

Predeceased by her first husband, Leonard William (Butch), her son Johnny and her brother Randy Sigurdson of Winnipeg.  She is survived by her husband Harvey, sons Frankie and Randy, sister Jackie Merrells of Calgary, stepchildren Harvey Jr., Karen, Dwight and Rodney, grandchildren James, Michael and Kyle Miclash, and William, Gordon and Anna Percy, along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Also missing her is her beloved pet Tillie.

Mom was extremely active in both of her home communities, Kenora and Ladysmith.  In Kenora she enjoyed many years living at Rabbit Lake, where her family grew up.  Here she was part of the Rabbit Lake Community Club, Jaffray Melick Home and School and the Lake of the Woods Toastmistress Club.  She was always heavily involved in the activities of her three boys.

Upon moving to Ladysmith, Mom committed many hours as a volunteer hospice worker over fifteen years.  She was a dedicated volunteer at the Ladysmith Hospital.  Mom was also truly passionate about line-dancing and clogging with groups in Ladysmith and Chemanius.

The family is truly grateful for the health care/home care support offered to Mom during her last days at home.  As well, the family is encouraged by both the prayers and support offered by her church family.
In compliance with Covid regulations, the family will be leaving services and internment to a later date.
