It is going to be an action-packed weekend of sports this weekend, especially when it comes to the ball diamonds. Here is a list of what we know is happening this weekend. If we are missing something, let us know and we can add it to the list. As well, be sure to send in your scores from the weekend to news@discoverweyburn.com

Friday

Friday will be the slowest day of the weekend, but there is still a lot happening with softball, senior baseball and collegiate summer baseball.

It all gets started in the afternoon as the U13 Weyburn Wild head up to Moose Jaw for a tournament. They open things up against Davidson in their first game.

The Weyburn Beavers of the WCBL are at home taking on the Swift Current 57s. This will be the first matchup of the season between two teams that are known for having intense, thrilling games against each other.

The Weyburn Iron Pigs are on the road. They travel to Regina for a game against the Capitals.

In the Saskota Baseball league, Moosomin is also on the road as the Badgers travel to take on the Kenosee Cubs.

Saturday

Things get started bright and early Saturday, with the first games of the day happening in the morning, and they aren’t even tournament games.

The 13U Weyburn Red Beavers will be at Clark Park hosting the Regina Blue Jays. This will actually be the first of two games on the day for Regina as they also take on the 13U Weyburn Blue Beavers in the afternoon.

Switching sports entirely for a moment, the U17 Weyburn Thrashers are on the road for a doubleheader of their own. They start the day with a morning game against the Snipers in Regina. The two teams will then meet in the afternoon.

The U13 Weyburn Wild continue their tournament with a round-robin game against the Twin City Angels. An evening game against the Moose Jaw Gators will close out their round-robin schedule.

The U15 Weyburn Wild play a doubleheader at home, taking on the Red Cubs.

The 15U AA Weyburn Beavers travel to Davidson for a doubleheader, while the 13U AAA Weyburn Beavers host Moose Jaw at Jubilee Park in a doubleheader.

The 15U Weyburn Reds head to Indian Head. There, they will take on the Rockets.

Sunday

Sunday will be almost as busy as Saturday was, with once again all age groups getting onto the field.

The 15U Weyburn Jays travel to Rouleau where they will face the Ramblers in a doubleheader.

Meanwhile, the 15U AA Weyburn Beavers will be at home for two games against Moose Jaw, but only one is considered a home game.

The 13U Weyburn Red Beavers are also playing a doubleheader, taking on the White Butte Broncos in Pilot Butte.

The Weyburn Beavers will be at Tom Laing Park taking on the Regina Red Sox in a matinee game.

In the Saskota Baseball League, the Carlyle Cardinals travel to Moosomin to face the Badgers, while the Weyburn Sun Devils hit the road to take on the Southeast Diamondbacks in Estevan.

The Borderline Ladies Fastball League will also have a full slate Sunday. The Odessa Country Steelers host the Midale Knockouts. The Ceylon Devils travel to Weyburn to play the White Lightning and the Fillmore Foxes entertain the Pangman Peaches.
