UPDATE: A train collided with a pedestrian on 8th St SW in Portage. It happened Tuesday, June 13, at about 6:30 a.m.
PREVIOUS UPDATE:
RCMP have confirmed that the death of a pedestrian was involved in the incident. The City announced on Twitter at 9:19 a.m. that the railway crossings for 8th Street NW and 3rd Street NE have both reopened.
ORIGINAL STORY: A train has stopped on 8th Street NW and 3rd Street NE.
RCMP, as well as ambulance and fire department vehicles, are at the scene.
Please use the Tupper Street bridge to avoid the train.
