Hello southwestern Saskatchewan, my name is Alex Kozroski, the Southwest Explorer for the summer of 2023.
First of all, I’d like to say that it is a dream come true to be a part of Golden West’s Swift Current team, and all of my co-workers and business partners have been incredibly welcoming.
This experience so far has been exactly what I needed, not only to kickstart my career in media but also to have fun in a fast-paced work environment.
I have lived on a ranch southwest of Gull Lake for most of my life and became something of a southwest explorer at a very early age. I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, and snowboarding.
I graduated from Gull Lake High School in 2021 and continued my education at the University of Regina. I completed the pre-professional journalism program there.
Getting the opportunity to have a job in the media in southwest Saskatchewan is amazing, and it is with great enthusiasm I take this chance to represent our sponsors to the best of my ability.
I can’t wait to spend this summer traveling to all of the unique events and destination areas across the southwest, and meeting those involved.
It seems each town I visit has its own unique charm, history, and community, and is shaped by our sponsors and participants alike.
At many events, I will be handing out Full Line Ag Fun Bucks which can be used to buy some great prizes at our Million Dollar Auction on September 15 at 5:30 p.m. hosted at Full Line Ag.
You, the audience, have the first chance to meet me this upcoming weekend at the Windscape Kite Festival in Swift Current on Saturday, June 24th, and on Sunday, June 25th at the Mankota Rodeo.
