Over 200 Portage Collegiate Institute Grade 12 students accepted their High School Diplomas Wednesday at Stride Place.

PortageOnline caught up with a few 2023 PCI graduates about the experience.

Kaitlyn Myerion made her way across the Stride Place stage on Wednesday.

She talks about what's next for her.

"I'm going to college for healthcare aid. I'm very nervous about that next step. It's a big step, more than high school, so many more challenges."

Payton Vanstone also travelled across the stage to get her diploma and spoke about what she will miss most from attending PCI.

"Just having a good time with my friends at school, getting to hang out with them and see them every day."

Isaiah Myran is moving on to the University of British Columbia for a bachelor's degree in science and says graduation makes them feel like more of an adult.

"It was better than I thought. It doesn't feel real that I graduated high school, but now I can be called a High School graduate."
