The Estevan Bruins continue to round out their roster ahead of the 2023-2024 SJHL season.
The team announced Wednesday that they have acquired forward Jack Piper in a trade with the Toronto Patriots of the Ontario Junior Hockey League in exchange for a player development fee.
The 19-year-old centreman had 14 points in 31 games for the Patriots last season.
"Jack plays a physical game and has spent some time in our league so he understands the intensity of the SJHL. Jack has the skill set to provide some offence for us and we believe he will be able to do that for us. We’re very excited to add Jack to our roster," said Bruins Head Coach and General Manager Jason Tatarnic.
The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario native played in six games with the Humboldt Broncos last year.
"I’m very excited to be able to join the Bruins and be part of a top organization in one of the best junior leagues in Canada. I’m looking forward to getting out there, meeting everyone and helping to win games in Estevan," Piper said.
