Yesterday saw the latest unveiling from UFA, a new Petroleum Agency and Cardlock Station in Weyburn, Sk. Located on 2 Cossette Lane, nestled between the junction of Highway 13 and Highway 39, the new fuel lot offers round the clock access to gasoline, diesel, DEF, and dyed fuels along with 24/7 bathroom and shower facilities for card carrying members. They are also offering other petroleum-based products such as lubricating oils and grease, along with bulk fuel delivery to members.

UFA representatives from the corporate offices in Alberta made the trip to Weyburn, proudly welcoming residents to explore the new facility and inquire about having their unique petroleum needs met. The Vice-President of Petroleum for UFA, Don Smith, spoke to the gathered crowd shortly before the ribbon cutting ceremony.

"We are proud to be here in Weyburn, and proud to bring a new option to the area when people need to fill their tanks," said Smith. "I'd like to thank the City Council for welcoming us and for their support in our journey to open this new location, and to you all for your warm welcome today," he added. Two longtime employees were also commended for dedicating a combined 90 years of loyal employment under UFA prior to the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Following the cutting of the ribbon, lunch was served to the approximately 200 people in attendance. Guests enjoyed beef on a bun, coleslaw, and their drink of choice courtesy of UFA. Most chose to escape both the gusting winds and beating sun under the large tent, resulting in many new acquaintances and a small part of the community coming closer together. Guests also entered to win a $5,000 UFA gift card and $5,000 charity donation, and enjoyed various free merchandise such as hats, trunk dividers, and the ever-popular orange sunglasses seen all across Weyburn.

The festivities at the new UFA location began at 12:30pm on July 6th, lasting until 2:30pm. Now officially open, prospective members can visit the station located at 2 Cossette Lane to acquire their membership cards and access the services available at any UFA location across Canada.
