The Western Canadian Baseball League unveiled the all-star teams for the upcoming All-Star Game Saturday in Okotoks, and the Weyburn Beavers will be well-represented.

Three pitchers from the Beavers will be representing Weyburn at the event, and three position players will be as well.

Starter Luke Zimmer was named to the all-star team. He has pitched 39 1/3 innings in seven appearances this year, including six starts. He has struck out 31 while posting an ERA of 4.12.

Two relievers were also named to the team. Jacob Clark, who has recorded three saves in 20 appearances will be an all-star. Clark has also struck out 28 in 19 2/3 innings of work. The other reliever is Jamin Smith, who has pitched 15 2/3 innings in 12 appearances this season, striking out 20 and earning a save.

The three position players who will be representing Weyburn are Ryan Dauphinee, Ryan Muizelaar and Trent Lawson.

Dauphinee leads the club this season with a batting average of .303. He has driven in 15 runs while hitting a home run and stealing two bases. Muizelaar, hitting .288 on the season, has 11 RBI so far this year and is the team leader in stolen bases with 14.

Lawson has been batting a respectable .297 this season, with a home run and team leading 17 RBI. With 11 doubles so far this season, he is also on pace to potentially set a new team record.

The All-Star Game will be played Saturday in Okotoks, with the best of the West Division taking on the best of the East Division. The day will include a full slate of festivities including a home run derby. Each pitcher in the game will throw no more than 30 pitches or one inning, while position players will be in for two innings, or long enough for a plate appearance.
