Central Station Community Centre (Winkler) Executive Director Bev Wiebe is resigning from the role. The news was shared with PembinaValleyOnline via a news release from the board of directors.

The release stated:

“We sincerely appreciate Bev’s exceptional contributions to establishing a solid foundation, building trust, and amplifying the community's voice. Bev believes it's time for someone with renewed energy and vision to lead, guiding us toward sustainability, a strong business model, and a bigger vision for social enterprise. Bev is committed to a smooth transition and supporting a new Executive Director. We express heartfelt gratitude to Bev for her invaluable service and dedication. Central Station will thrive upon her legacy, continuing to support our community. We wish Bev the best in her future endeavours.”

The Board of Directors will be initiating a comprehensive search for a new Executive Director within the next couple of weeks. A search committee has been formed, composed of diverse and experienced individuals from within the Board, to oversee the hiring process. The committee will work diligently to identify a visionary leader who can guide Central Station to new heights and further its impact in the community.

Central Station remains fully committed to its mission and the communities it serves. During this transition period, Central Station will continue its day-to-day operations without interruption, ensuring its programs and services continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
