Marilyn Barbara Joan Kline (née Reid)
November 2, 1947 – July 31, 2023

Marilyn was born November 2, 1947, to Frank and Anna (née Sass) Reid. The second of the four Reid sisters, she was raised on a farm north of Esk, Saskatchewan. It was a busy home full of love, laughter, hard work, and a deep faith in God. Marilyn attended school in both Esk and Lanigan, and she accepted Christ into her life as a young teenager at Arlington Beach Bible Camp. She found her love in a young man from the area. Marilyn and Vic were married on July 29, 1967, in the church at Esk. They moved to Saskatoon where they welcomed a little girl into their life, Robin in 1968. Lifelong friends were made in Saskatoon, and they lived in the city until 1971. They moved back to Esk area so they could farm with Vic’s brother on the Kline family farm east of Drake, shortly after, Sheila was born. In 1972 Vic and Marilyn made their church home at the Christian Fellowship Church, where Marilyn served as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, pianist, food committee and care team member. In 2002 Marilyn started a career in home care and spent 10 years working out of Lanigan and Nokomis. She loved the work and was so kind and compassionate to all she worked with. She loved to play piano, read, bowl and travel. Most of all she loved to visit with her friends and family. Marilyn was a prayer warrior and picked up where her mother left off. She has been described as a blanket of love, kindness was something she gave with a loving and true heart and no strings attached. Marilyn is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by: husband of 56 years, Victor; daughters and their families: Robin Liimatainen, and daughter Seija; Sheila (Terry) Renz, and sons Clayton and Blake; sisters: Janice (Murray) Sproule, Judy (Mike) Johnston and Jacq’y (Allan) Dickison; brothers-in-law: Keith (Jean) Kline, Myrven (Marjorie) Kline; David (Nata)Kline; and numerous nieces and nephews.
