We are saddened to share the sudden passing of Sharon Lea Sowden on August 6, 2023, at Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw, SK. Sharon was the first of three children born to Al and Dellmary Sowden on January 11,1951. She lived life to its fullest. Sharon liked trapping in the NWT, firefighting in Fort Simpson, and building a log cabin. She was involved in the Legion, Eastern Star, Red Hat Society, and local seniors’ centers. Her Grandkids and great grandkids were her shining stars. She loved them more than they ever knew.
She was predeceased by her mother Dellmary and father Allen. Sharon is survived by daughter Dell Ann (Craig); grandchildren KaylaMary (JD), Brant, and Tyrell; great grandchildren Tatum, Korbin, Sophia and Keslynn; brothers Wes (Val), and Brian (Rita); niece Hillary; nephews Christopher and Curtis.
Thank you to the staff in ICU and Medical ward for keeping her comfortable as she started her journey home and to the Care Aides at Capilano Court for your care and compassion you showed her while she kept them on their toes.
There will be a private family service at a later date. In Lieu of flowers (she didn’t like them) a donation can be made to your local mental health, dementia, cancer, or care home groups.
