A 22-year-old man is in police custody in relation to a homicide of a 50-year-old man in early August.
Police were called to the back lane of the 200 block of Furby Street in the early morning hours of August 5 for a report of a person who had been stabbed. Officers found a 50-year-old man suffering from stab wounds and performed emergency medical care for the victim before he was transported to hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.
Later that day police arrested 23-year-old Jonathan Michael Gladue and charged him with second degree murder. Police also arrested a 17-year-old male and charged him with second degree murder.
The Winnipeg Police Service says in a release that the investigation continued and on August 10 police arrested Nehemiah Jarren Fehr, 22, of Winnipeg, and charged him with Second Degree Murder. He has been detained in custody.
The WPS says they do not anticipate any further arrests but are still asking the public for help.
