JAMES BRYCE ANDERSON
With loving hearts, we sadly announce the peaceful passing of James “Jim” Anderson at the age of 93 years, on Saturday, September 2nd, 2023.
He was predeceased by his wife, Isabel Anderson (née: Mattock). Jim is survived by his daughter, Leslie Donley (Rob); his loving companion, Barb Fister; grandson, Dylan Chute (Lindy) and great-grandchildren who reside in Saskatoon, SK; and sister, Jean Reid who resides in Tisdale, SK.
Jim began his career at the Anderson Pugsley John Deer dealership in Moose Jaw. He then enjoyed a variety of careers amongst his passion for vehicles: trucking for Trimac Industries, salesman for Patterson Motors, driver for PFRA, and then managing Anderson Gulf Gas Station in Moose Jaw. He retired as a Truck Driver Instructor for SIAST Moose Jaw.
Jim served his community working for the Kinsmen Club of Moose Jaw and was willing and able to help anyone at anytime. He loved boating and water skiing at Buffalo Pound, and snow skiing at the White Track ski hill. His fishing trips up north with his good friend Harvey Nash and his son-in-law Rob Donley were a highlight of his life, as well as the company of the “Grumpy Old Men” walking group in Wakamow.
Vehicles were his passion. Cars, Trucks, Motorhomes. “Buy high Sell low” as the grumpy old men would say. His reply? “No point in being broke and looking broke.” Far from being “broke”, Jim was “rich” in love and life experiences. He will be missed by all who knew him.
KEEP ON TRUCKING JIM
