A Portage la Prairie RCMP officer stopped a driver on the bypass around Portage la Prairie and observed a vehicle travelling 130kph in a 100kph zone.
On September 17th, at 1:49 a.m., the officer initiated a traffic stop with a 30-year-old woman behind the wheel from Long Plain First Nation.
The driver was asked to provide a breath sample on a Roadside Screening Device to determine if she had consumed alcohol. The result of that test was a Fail. The driver was issued an Immediate Driving Prohibition.
She has lost her licence for 90 days, her vehicle was towed and impounded for a minimum of 30 days, and she must pay a $700.00 Administration Penalty.
