Be at peace mom and know that you are always loved.

It is hard to imagine moving on without you mom, if there is one thing that you instilled in us it is to face each new day with courage, strength and determination; and so we shall, each in our own way.

Mom was born and raised in Keewatin, Ontario and moved only a stones throw away to live and raise her family in Pellatt. Mom chose cooking as a profession; she cooked and chatted her way through local restaurants and cafes throughout the years. Many of her summers were spent working with MNR in remote fire camps.

She loved meeting and talking with all the people she met on life’s journey. Some of her fondest memories were of the summers she spent in cooking in Northern Communities for the fire season.
Mary was closest to her immediate family members and she spent many hours caring for and carting children and grandchildren around to the places they needed to go.

Mom is survived by her daughters, Margaret (Laval), Tannis (Andrew), Melinda (Jason); her sons, Lorne and Laurence (Sherry); her beloved grandchildren, Randilynn, Trisha, Gemma, Rene, Rejean, Michel, Kyle, Ryan, Myles, Randy, Caleb, Logan, Alizia, Bradie, Brianna, Skylar, Chelsey and Thomas. Also left to mourn Mary’s passing are many great-grandchildren; her brothers, Jimmy (Susan) and Billy (Hugette), her sister, Debbie (Richard), sister in law, Kathy; and mom’s lifelong best friend and confidant, Gail McRoberts. She loved you Gail.

Mom is predeceased by her loving husband, Lawrence Poulin; her eldest daughter, Dawn; her eldest granddaughter, Cassie and her sweet granddaughter, Katelynn.  Her parents, Everett and Ann Cederwall, her brothers, Tommy, Neil and Ted, her sisters Doris (Dave McCabe), and Catherine (Carl Walsh).

The family would like to send a thank-you to Pinecrest Staff for taking care of mom these last few months.
