A three-vehicle collision just west of Kisbey, along Highway 13, Thursday morning claimed the life of one man, and sent four others to hospital.  

RCMP said the collision happened around 6:40 a.m. Thursday, when an SUV collided with a truck. An additional call for service confirmed a third vehicle, a car, was involved after it collided with the initial collision scene.  

The truck had three occupants. The driver of the truck, identified as a 31-year-old man from Redvers, was declared deceased on the scene by EMS. The passengers of the truck were taken to hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.  

The SUV had two occupants from the Weyburn area. The driver of the SUV was taken to hospital by STARS Air Ambulance, with the injuries described as serious. The passenger was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  

The driver of the car, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was taken to hospital as well.  

The specific details of the collision, including the directions the vehicles were travelling in at the time of the collision, are still being determined by the RCMP. The investigation is being undertaken by the Carlyle RCMP along with an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist, and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
