UPDATE Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Kenora

The storm has passed.

Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts and pea to dime size hail.

Thunderstorms over Manitoba are moving east at 75 km/h towards the Lake of the Woods area.

Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Avoid areas of the building that could be affected by falling debris such as tree limbs.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
