On October 17, 2023, at approximately 11:15 pm, RCMP responded to a call of a shooting at a residence in Bloodvein First Nation.
A 22-year-old male had been shot and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
It has been determined that three people, two females and a male, attended the victim’s residence, tried to gain entry, and a shot was fired which struck the victim.
RCMP have identified the two females involved.
A 26-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with the following and has been remanded into custody.
- Using a Firearm in the Commission of an Offence
- Discharge Firearm with Intent
- Aggravated Assault
- Possession of a Firearm/Prohibited Weapon when Knowing Possession is Unauthorized
- Fail to Comply x4
Tashianna Hamilton, 20, is currently WANTED in relation to this shooting, and RCMP believe she may have left the community. She is WANTED on an outstanding warrant for:
- Using a Firearm in the Commission of an Offence
- Discharge Firearm with Intent
- Aggravated Assault
- Possession of a Firearm/Prohibited Weapon when Knowing Possession is Unauthorized
Tashianna Hamilton is described as 5’4”, 110 lbs with black hair and brown eyes.
She is considered ARMED and DANGEROUS, so do not approach and call police if seen.
RCMP are also looking for information on the third suspect involved in the shooting, who is believed to be an adult male.
