This weekend is full of festive and fun activities that bring the spirit of fall to the southwest. 

SPCA 50th Anniversary Gala

The SPCA 50th Anniversary Halloween Gala kicks off on Saturday evening, and promises a fun night of food, music, and drinks. Tickets for the Gala are $75 per person, while corporate tables can be purchased for $525, seating eight.  

The event is set at the Swift Current Royal Legion Hall, with doors opening at 5:45 p.m., cocktails at 6 p.m., and supper at 7 p.m. The dance floor will open up at 9 p.m. To buy tickets, call 306-560-8787, or find them at Pharmasave. Tompkins Country Carnival and Halloween Dance

Tompkins will be hosting a Country Carnival and Halloween dance, keeping the town occupied all day with fun and varying activities. The trade show and carnival will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and have a $2.00 entry. This will be followed by supper and a dance which will feature a costume contest, live and silent auctions. 

The event is a combined effort of the Tompkins Library and the Village of Tompkins to raise money for the operating costs of the Library and to pay for the upgrade of the Village of Tompkins Water treatment plant. 

Eastend and Area Harvest Festival

Eastend and area will congregate to hold a Harvest Festival at the Eastend Memorial Hall on Saturday. $50 per ticket will give patrons supper and admission to the dance. 
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m., and feature food from JC's Cakes and Catering and live music by The Ranchmen. All proceeds created will go to the maintenance of the Eastend Rink Complex. Tickets are available at Kranky's liquor store and Horizon Business Solutions.
