It was another win for the Terriers Wednesday evening as the team wrapped up their part of the MJHL showcase event. In a highly anticipated match, the Dogs took out the Virden Oil Caps 4-2 to improve their record to 7-3-3.

Daniel Siso opened the scoring on the power play with the only goal of the first period. The veteran forward recently returned to the line-up after an early season injury and it was his third goal in just four games. Gabriel Laflamme assisted on the marker and the team's leading scorer would add a power play goal of his own in the second period. The Terriers finished the night 2 for 5 with the man advantage while going perfect on the penalty kill.

The Oil Caps outshot the Terriers 29-14 and Gavin Renwick was sharp in net picking up his fourth win of the season.

Portage will now hit the road for a couple of games to the north over the weekend. The team will meet up with OCN in The Pas on Friday night and then match up with Swan Valley on Saturday. Their next home game is November 1st, the same day the team will host their 2nd annual Ag Expo.
