It's almost time to lace up your boots for the fall edition of the Swift Current Hobby, Craft, and Gun Show.
The annual event returns this Saturday and Sunday, offering folks a chance to peruse the wares of various rifle vendors, featuring a wide array of firearms.
For the folks less interested in firepower, there is also a good selection of clothing, homemade goods, and even baking being featured.
Organizing this community-driven collaboration once again this year is Henry Banman, who has hosted the Hobby, Craft, and Gun Show since the 1970s. He is excited for this year, as there are fresh faces set to appear.
"We have quite a group of brand new vendors this year who have never been to one of our shows," said Banman. "We've been trying to do this for a long time."
Another draw for the outdoors types is the various accessories and tools that are brought into the show, Things like scopes, carry bags, gear kits, knives, and even seasonings are all welcome additions to any hunter's cabinet.
Doors open at 10 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. on Saturday at the Stockade Building in Kinetic Park. Sunday, the doors go from 10 a.m. again, but close a little earlier at 3 p.m.
