Germany is coming back to Weyburn this year with the 4th annual Oktoberfest fundraiser happening on October 5th at the Weyburn Legion. A fun filled evening of food, drink, and dance for those 19 years of age or older with live music from two local bands.

Lana Schneider alongside the wonderful folks at Vision Farms were able to enjoy some hot chicken on an even hotter day thanks to Grain Rush! Driven by Great Plains Ford, we took some delicious KFC out to their family farm north-east of Weyburn.
Vision Farms is a family owned and operated farm near the Rainton Cemetery and has been in the Schneider family since 1961.

Halfway through harvest: Weekly Crop Report
Harvest has hit the halfway mark here in the southeast region of Saskatchewan. Farmers got back in the field after some stormy weather hindered progress in August. In September, sunny and windy conditions have sped up the drying of crops and with more sun forecasted into the middle of the month farmers can expect little delays weather-wise.
