Charges laid in relation to dangerous persons alert in Lloydminster area
Three individuals have been charged after shots were fired in the Lloydminster area last week, resulting in a dangerous persons alert being issued in the province.
On September 6, 2022, at around 2:45 a.m., RCMP received reports of shots fired at a residence in the city of Lloydminster. Investigators determined that the vehicle in question was a black, newer model Ford Mustang and alerted nearby RCMP detachments to watch for the vehicle.

The shots were fired from a black, newer model, Ford Mustang.
The same vehicle is suspected of shots fired at a residence in Lloydminster and an attempted fuel theft in the RM of Britannia.
It is not believed to be connected to the James Smith Cree Nation investigation at this time.
If in the area, seek immediate shelter/shelter in place. Do not leave a secure location.

Fairview Pool makes final splash before fall
As the leaves fall and seasons change, the Fairview Pool is preparing to say farewell for another year.
The outdoor pool will officially close its doors for the summer 2022 season this Monday, September 5.
Meghan Chisholm, Aquatic Manager for the city of Swift Current, said that the extreme heat throughout the summer months lead to some ideal conditions for the pool.
Local Girl Guides are barbequing their way to B.C.
The barbeques will be sizzling this Saturday for a hot dog sale, hosted by the Swift Current Girl Guides Pathfinders Unit.
The event will kick off at 11:00 a.m. outside Canadian Tire and serve as a fundraiser for an interprovincial trip planned for the summer of 2023.
Jennifer Plewis, leader of the local Pathfinders group, elaborated on the long-term goal.
