Saskatchewan Big Game Draw to commence this weekend

The Saskatchewan Big Game Draw is opening up this Sunday, with hunters in the province having until May 25 to finish their online applications.

Travis Williams, Wildlife Allocation Specialist, said that the draw continues to be an extremely popular opportunity in Saskatchewan.

“Last year in 2021, the ministry received almost 124,000 applications,” he said. “And we expect this year to be at or above the same level as last year.”

The Big Game Draw is used to allocate a limited number of hunting licenses to Saskatchewan residents in a fair manor.

Time to get that dough

Residents of Swift Current will get to indulge their sweet tooth this morning, thanks to the return of the Donut Days fundraiser.

The fundraiser is a joint collaboration between the Doctor Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation and the Living Sky Casino that has been taking place in the community for many years.

Communications and Development Coordinator at the Doctor Noble Regional Healthcare Foundation, Sara Adrian, elaborated on how the fundraiser works.

Provincial Parks commence 2022 reservations

The reservation books for seasonal sites opened to the public yesterday, while nightly, Camp-Easy and group campsites started to become available at seven this morning.

Reservations will continue to open daily until the 26 of April.
