Winnipeg Jets say Mark Scheifele's dad has died unexpectedly

Brad Scheifele, the father of Winnipeg Jets’ star Mark Scheifele, has unexpectedly died according to the team. 

Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff told reporters in Dallas on Saturday morning that Brad died on Friday night.

He is survived by his son-Tom, and his daughters-Barb, Dorothy (Ken), and Lorraine (Dan), His grandchildren – Kaitlyn, CJ, Lindsay (Tyler), Allision (Ian) and Brittany (Evan), and 7 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife-Tina, his son-Dan, and his sister-Lena.

On Friday, the church posted on social media that the "fire has somewhat subsided. But we’re not fully out of the woods. It’s raining today—a true answer to so many prayers. But we still need even more rain."
