WATCH: Phil Wickham releases Christmas single featuring Anne Wilson

Preparing for the Christmas season, Phil Wickham teamed up with Anne Wilson on his new single and video, 'Behold.'

"I love singing this song," says Wickham on Facebook. "I wanted to write a song I could sing with my church at Christmas that felt both familiar and new. I wanted to sing about the manger AND celebrate the empty tomb."

Wilson has been busy writing Christmas songs herself, recently releasing 'The Manger' featuring Josh Turner. She also took home two GMA Dove Awards in October, including 'New Artist.'

PRAY: Pastor in Laos tortured, brutally murdered

An evangelical pastor in southern Laos whose body was recently found mutilated was tortured and brutally murdered, according to police and local and national evangelical leaders.

Sources close to the police investigation told ReligionUnplugged.com they believe See — he went by one name — was killed because of his faith during a time of rapid growth in Laotian churches. The number of baptisms is causing tension in communities distrustful of a religion they see as foreign.

Kenya’s drought worsens, groundwater becomes essential

Kenya’s government reports worsening drought conditions. Nearly 950,000 children under five are now “acutely malnourished.”

The country has been without rain for four consecutive seasons, sending poverty and hunger rates skyrocketing. Last month, Oxfam International warned of an impending famine.

Groundwater plays an increasingly critical role as Kenya’s drought drags on.

“In the last few years, we have been able to put a well or a borehole in all of the communities that we have an established work in,” Joy Mueller of Kenya Hope says.
