'Healthy and free': Beni Johnson of Bethel Church dies at 67
Beni Johnson has died at the age of 67 according to her husband, Pastor Bill Johnson.
The Johnson's church, Bethel Church in Redding, California, had announced on Wednesday evening that Beni had quit chemotherapy treatments and moved into hospice care to manage her pain.
In a post on Bill's public Facebook page, he shared a picture of Beni simply saying "Healthy and Free," just after midnight Pacific time. The post states that Beni died on July 13, 2022.
Unlikely ambassador for God in Hollywood, Director tells Chris Pratt 'keep standing for Jesus'
Christian director Andrew Erwin stood in support of Chris Pratt sharing his faith on the Hollywood stage, saying Pratt "uses his platform to point people to a very real God, not religion."
Erwin is one of the brothers, known as The Erwin Brothers, that helped direct films such as I Can Only Imagine, the story of Bart Millard's life, as well as their most recent, American Underdog starring Dennis Quaid.
Erwin posted his support on Instagram that Pratt should continue sharing his faith in many interviews.
Bart Millard of MercyMe makes peace with mother before passing
Lead singer of MercyMe Bart Millard was at his mother's bedside as she passed away recently.
"My sweet mom went to be with Jesus this morning around 5:30 am," said Millard on Instagram one week ago. "Thankful my brother and I were with her."
Millard didn't always have a good relationship with his mother, as she left him in his early childhood with his abusive father. This was made evident to fans after the release of the movie I Can Only Imagine.
South Korean cult poses problems in Japan
The man accused of killing former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe reportedly blamed the politician for a cult's influence on his family.
The man is undergoing extensive mental health tests before prosecution can proceed.
Regarding motive, the suspect told investigators his mother joined a cult called the Unification Church and bankrupted the family by giving to this cult. “He (the killer) thought Abe played a key role in allowing this cult to spread within Japan,” Takeshi Takazawa of Asian Access says.

When asked about how the move to Murfreesboro, Tennessee has been on Jordan and his family, he says, "So we've been here five months and the first three months were tough."
St. Cyr moved his family down south at the beginning of February, with his wife, Heather, and their four children.
Inflation spikes in Zimbabwe by nearly 200%
In the southeast African country of Zimbabwe, inflation rose to 191.6 per cent in June, up from 132 per cent in May. The government will introduce new gold coins in an attempt to stall the economic crisis.
Many people in Zimbabwe live on subsistence farming, providing only for their own needs and not producing extra.
