Hoping to support his friends, Christian rapper/artist Lecrae had a tour date cancelled instead, after sharing his thoughts on Twitter.

"Once upon a time I thought I was done with Christianity," Lecrae tweeted on Januray 18. "But the reality was I was just done with the institutional, corporatized, gentrified, politicized, culturally exclusive version of it."

Toxic ash and tsunami damage are what’s left of the volcanic eruption over a week ago in Tonga. It was one of the world’s largest volcanic eruptions in three decades.

Ash from the volcano has settled in thick layers over the Tongan islands — as deep as three inches in some places. The blast also damaged power lines and cables. Communication on the islands has been hampered.

The volcano also caused a massive tsunami wave that hit the main island Tongatapu and other coastlines. Several other countries had tsunami alerts.

At least 30 people, including 11 children and a pregnant woman, died last Wednesday, after a stampede at a Pentecostal church meeting in Liberia's capital, Monrovia. An unknown number of people are still injured, some critically. An armed group, trying to steal the offering and rob the attendees, stormed an all-night outdoor worship event with thousands of people.

The worship event was organized by a popular pastor known as Apostle Abraham Kromah, who pastors the World of Life Outreach International; he is also a radio broadcaster.

Well-known actress and country singer Jana Kramer says she's found healing "in the name of Jesus," sharing a video of her baptism with her 2 million Instagram followers on Sunday.

A missionary in South America is undergoing surgery for serious injuries Saturday morning, including a bullet lodged in his lung, after multiple men attempted to rob his family Friday evening.

Arlen Isaak's wife, Cynthia, says that Arlen was shot when "at least three men" showed up at their home in northeastern Brazil on Friday evening. A bullet shattered his right shoulder and then ricocheted into his lung.
