Thousands commit to Christ during Christian music tour

A 10-day tour ended with the start of a new journey with Jesus for thousands of young people.

In August, Pulse ministry went on tour with Chris Tomlin, Kari Jobe, Bethel Music and many others as part of a Live in Concert series in 14 cities. As they spread the gospel, they encouraged people to give their life to Christ.

51% of French do not believe in God, survey says

A new survey shows that fewer and fewer people in France believe in God.

The French Opinion and marketing research institute (IFOP), on behalf of the journalists' association Ajir, has recently released The Relationship of the French to Religion survey.

The IFOP survey found that 51% of respondents say they do not believe in God, whereas in 1947, 66% of respondents declared themselves to be believers.

PRAY: Miners trapped in Ontario mine

Work is underway to rescue the more than three dozen people who have been trapped underground since Sunday.

Slowly but surely, 39 workers at Totten Mine near Sudbury, Ontario are reemerging after spending more than 24 hours trapped underground. As of Tuesday afternoon, 33 of the 39 miners have resurfaced, most climbing 1000 metres, or one and a half times the height of the CN Tower.

After what Vale, the mine's Brazillian company is calling "an incident" the conveyance system used to bring employees up and down the mine was damaged and shut down.

Faith was always a part of Elijah Stephen's life growing up. But as he grew older, he started having questions. 

"I grew up in a Christian home and went to church, but I also watched my mom get conned by con artists who said you'll get healed if you send money," explains Stephens, director and executive producer of Send Proof.
Stephens says he also grew up in an abusive home that made him question God's existence. Despite that, he still went to a Christian college and studied philosophy from a Christian perspective.

Christians in SE Asia gain a little more religious freedom

One Southeast Asian country has taken a positive step towards more religious freedom. A recent decree outlined a path for religious minority groups to be recognized by the state in Laos.

Joe Handley of Asian Access says, “This new decree, does give a little more leeway when it comes to religious freedom in the country. Pray for the trajectory of this move. It actually is moving. It’s a mixed bag, but it’s moving in a positive direction.”
