An annual event that brings over 1,000 young adults to Calvary Temple in Winnipeg is back this week. 

Collide Conference is back for year three. Brittany Petkau and Rhythm Knowler, who serve as two of the three directors of the event, along with the full team are excited to see what God is going to do this year. 

Soccer player gives glory to God after goal, cited for breaking FIFA rules

A well-known Liverpool soccer player is being reprimanded after sharing his faith with the crowd following a goal.

Cody Gakpo took off his jersey to celebrate and reveal a white tank top with the words "I belong to Jesus."

The Dutch player was immediately given a yellow card by one of the referees because FIFA rules state that players are not allowed to have any political, religious or personal slogans on them.

'We need more God': Former American Idol contestant uses stage to share the gospel

Former American Idol contestant Fantasia used the stage to bring glory to God.

The talented singer put on a special performance singing "Have Your Way."  

"That was unbelievable," said Ryan Seacrest following her performance. "I can feel your emotion right now. What are you feeling?"

"The world is going through a lot right now, and we need more God," Fantasia responded. "So I allowed him to use me on the biggest stage ever."

Fantasia is preparing to release a new gospel album soon. 

Faith, death, and dignity: A Christian conversation on MAiD

A church in Winnipeg is hosting an event in regards to the Christian perspective when it comes to medical assistance in dying (MAiD). 

"On May 2 at 7 p.m., Dr. Ewan Goligher is going to come and address a Christian response to physician-assisted death," says Mark Grafe, an elder at Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church. "He'll be speaking on two subjects, two 30-minute lectures, followed by a 15-minute Q & A."

Filipino church leaders in Winnipeg are offering prayers, support, and practical help following a deadly car attack at a Filipino street festival in Vancouver over the weekend.

Pastor Junie Josue, senior pastor of International Worship Centre — which has multiple locations in Winnipeg, western Manitoba, and Saskatchewan — says his congregation was deeply affected by the tragedy.

After baptizing hundreds of college students and leading thousands in worship, evangelist Jennie Allen was overjoyed to baptize her very own daughter on Sunday.
