Morden Eagles soaring into the soccer season
It's been quite the start for both the U17 and U14 Morden Eagles soccer programs and manager Tania Sigurdson is thrilled for what's already happened and for what is still to come.
"We're one week in," an excited Sigurdson explains. "Our U17 Morden Eagles team has had two games, while the U14 Eagles have also had two games. We've won all of them and have no goals scored against us. For an opening week, we're pretty thrilled."

The poll of over 1,600 Canadians, conducted by Leger Marketing for the Association for Canadian Studies between May 1 and 3, suggests only 21 per cent of Canadians think the country would be better off with a system where two parties dominate the political landscape.
École Morden Middle School Presents: 'Finding Nemo Jr.' at the Access Event Centre this week
Students from École Morden Middle School are taking to the stage this week with their production of Finding Nemo Jr., a musical based on the hit 2003 film. The show will be held on Wednesday, May 14 and Thursday, May 15, at the Access Event Centre in Morden. Performances begin at 7:00 pm, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 and are available now at the École Morden Middle School office or at the door.
IIU clears Mountie in fall shooting near Sanford
The Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) of Manitoba will not be authorizing charges against an RCMP member involved in a shooting near Sanford last fall.
Police were called to a home in the R.M. of MacDonald in the evening of September 24th where it was reported that a man was assaulting a woman and burning vehicles on the property. However, the man fled before officers arrived.

Cremation has taken place.
Private family ash interment for Margaret Rose Germain will be held at a later date.
