Neepawa RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect linked to several thefts in town, along with the unauthorized use of a credit card.

Search continues for suspect who fled Portage Hospital
Manitoba First Nations Police Service (MFNP) is continuing its search for Byron Alvin Soloman Roulette, 26, from Sandy Bay First Nation, who escaped police custody while receiving treatment at the Portage Hospital.
On July 24, police responded to a break and enter involving a firearm on Center Road in Sandy Bay First Nation. They found that a male adult had been assaulted by two men who then stole a truck from the residence. One of the suspects was armed.

The first of several disturbances this week brought another round of precipitation to parts of Southern Manitoba on Monday, the third time it rained in some locations since Canada Day.

After the area was starting to talk about getting dry, for much of the region, we are catching up on that moisture deficit we had since the start of Spring."

Manitoba Major Crime Services and Powerview RCMP continue their investigation into the double homicide of a 29-year-old Winnipeg man and a 41-year-old Victoria Beach woman, following the discovery of their bodies on June 20 in Victoria Beach.
Since Friday morning, investigators from RCMP Major Crime Services, Forensic Identification Services, Powerview Detachment, and Victoria Beach Police have been at the scene, canvassing for witnesses, reviewing surveillance footage, and searching for evidence to assist the case.
Gunshot fired during rural home invasion
A quiet rural property in the RM of Glenella-Lansdowne turned into a crime scene early Wednesday morning, and RCMP are now working to track down the masked intruders responsible.
Neepawa RCMP respond to the call around 1:05 a.m. on June 19 after a report of a home invasion.
Officers say two masked suspects forced their way into a house, only to be confronted by the armed homeowner.
The confrontation prompted the intruders to flee the scene, but not before one of them fired a gun into the side of the home.

Police give update on Brandon high school sword attack incident
At about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Brandon Police Service officers were called to Neelin High School following an emergency involving two male youths. Officers arrived within minutes and by 1:22 p.m., a 16-year-old male suspect was arrested and taken into custody.
The 15-year-old victim sustained injuries to his chest, arms, and thighs. He was given immediate medical attention and transferred to Brandon Regional Hospital. His condition is now stable. His parents were quickly notified, and care supports are being provided to him and his family.
16-year-old in custody after violent attack at Brandon high school
A 15-year-old boy is in hospital after a violent sword attack at Neelin High School in Brandon Tuesday afternoon.
Brandon police say they were called around 1:15 p.m. by a student reporting a male youth inside the school armed with a sword.
