Rob Carnie: Community safety: let’s follow up on the meeting that we had. There were a lot of people showing up and talking about, mainly, the homeless people that are around Moose Jaw and some people fear for their safety.
A lot of our homeless population are harmless people who just want to live life and get a bite to eat. But there are people in our downtown core that are upset, and some elderly people have come forward and said they fear for their safety.

Rob Carnie: It's another edition of Take 5 with Carnie and Carmichael featuring Moose Jaw City Manager, Maryse Carmichael. Let's start with a #notoriously active Fall and Winter Rec Guide. I hate to say fall and winter in August, Maryse, but here we are, and the Rec Guide is out, and lots of opportunities for local people, local families to get involved across the City of Moose Jaw at all our great facilities.
Sports Round-Up: Tuesday, August 20
In Rambler Park Fastball last night, The Rez downed the Moose Jaw Giants 18-3 at Kaplan Field, knocking them out of the playoffs.
Major League Baseball, in the first of their three game series, the Toronto Blue Jays fell 6-3 to the Cincinnati Reds.
The Moose Jaw Warriors announced that they will be opening up their 2024 training camp on August 28th.
The camp runs over five days at the Moose Jaw Events Centre and concludes with the Black and White Intrasquad Game on September 1st.

They can live to play another day with a win at Ross Wells Park tonight.
The Moose Jaw Miller Express are facing a MUST-WIN situation tonight in game 2 of the Western Canadian Baseball League final after dropping a 7-4 decision to the Dawgs in Okotoks last night. Over 5000 fans were in the stands to see it.
A 6-run 2nd inning for the Dawgs was the difference.
Game 2 of the best-of-three is tonight in Moose Jaw.
If the Millers force a Game 3, it’ll be in Okotoks tomorrow night.

The Western Canadian Baseball League season comes down to a best-of-three championship final and it all starts tonight.
The Moose Jaw Miller Express are visiting the Okotoks Dawgs for game 1 of the series with game 2 set for tomorrow at Ross Wells Park. Game three, if necessary, will be back in Okotoks on Saturday night.
As Rambler Park Fastball League playoffs continue tonight, it’s the Moose Jaw Giants playing the Hawks at Kaplan Field. The Giants are coming off a 7-0 win over Wynyard Blues on Tuesday giving them a 1 and 1 record in the double-knockout playoff format.

Westin Walls pitched a complete game, scattering 9 hits over 9 innings while striking out 11 batters and the Moose Jaw Miller Express earned a trip to the Western Canadian Baseball League championship final with a 5-3 win over the Berries in Saskatoon Berries last night.
Joe Osborn hit a home run for Moose Jaw while Nate Houston went 4-for-4 at the plate and scored two runs.
The Millers will be up against the Okotoks Dawgs, who won the West Division Final with a 10-4 win over the Sylvan Lake Gulls last night.

The Western Canadian Baseball League's east division final is coming down to a 3rd and deciding game tonight in Saskatoon.
The Moose Jaw Miller Express spanked the Saskatoon Berries 17-6 at Ross Wells Park last night with 880 fans in attendance.
Nate Mensik, Elijah Bear and Ryan Gouldin all hit home runs for the Millers.
In game 2 of the West Division Final, the Okotoks Dawgs picked up a 3-2 win against the Sylvan Lake Gulls. With a win apiece, tonight’s game will decide who advances.

Moose Jaw Crime Stoppers are looking for information after a boat and its trailer were stolen from a South Hill driveway at the end of July.
One ASD fail at Friday check stop
Eighty-two vehicles were stopped by Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan (CTSS) and Patrol officers at a check stop located on the 1100 Main Street North on Friday.
Officers completed 53 ASD tests, with one driver failing and being charged criminally, and one driver receiving a roadside suspension for an ASD warning.

They erupted for 19 hits and 14 runs and the Saskatoon Berries took game one of the Western Canadian Baseball League east division final 14-1 over the visiting Moose Jaw Miller Express.
Carter Beck had a day for the Berries, going 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 RBI.
Game two is tonight at Ross Wells Park.
The West Division Final also resumes tonight with Okotoks and Sylvan Lake - The Gulls taking game one by a score of 5-3 yesterday.
