Beals, Shelley Lanette

Shelley Lanette Beals, late of Yucca Valley, California, USA, passed away on July 20, 2024 after a spirited battle with Pancreatic cancer. She was 59 years of age. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Black Bear Diner Banquet Room, 57084~29 Palms Hwy, Yucca Valley, CA. Shelley’s ashes will be scattered at a later date in the Joshua Tree National Park per her wishes. In lieu of flowers, for family and friends, charitable donations in memory of Shelley may be made to an animal charity of your choice.

Oliver, Joyce Lorraine

Joyce Lorraine Oliver, late of Weyburn, SK passed away on October 16, 2024 at the age of 90 years. A Celebration of Life for Joyce will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from Grace United Church, Weyburn, SK with Rev. M. Barnabas officiating. Urn Bearer is Brian Oliver. Honorary Pallbearers are all Joyce’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Luncheon will follow at Upper Grace Hall, 210 3rd Street, Weyburn, SK. Interment will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Melbourne Cupples will take place on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Parkside Memorial Funeral Home.

Chantel Marie McCallum

On September 14, 2024, heaven gained another angel. Chantel Marie McCallum passed away in Kelowna at the age of 38. She was employed at Remax Real Estate as office manager at the time of her passing. Chantel married Joey Reader, her high school sweetheart. She was predeceased by Joey in 2014, leaving Chantel to raise their son Cruz. From her second marriage, her daughter Aria was born.

Zelma Fehr, 89, of Winkler formerly of Kronsthal, passed away Thursday, October 17th at her residence. She is survived by 3 daughters, 2 sons, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Henry. 
The celebration of life for Zelma Fehr will be held Tuesday, October 22nd at 11am at Winkler Mennonite Church with private burial prior to the service at Kronsthal Cemetery.

Harry Joseph “Toby” Tobias

Harry “Toby” Joseph Tobias passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the age of 79 years. Toby was born on December 29, 1944, in a small town outside of Vienna, Austria to mother Giselle, his birth father was tragically killed during World War II. He immigrated to Canada with his family at the age of five years, his mother remarried, and he gained a stepfather Ernest Tobias. He attended elementary school and high school in Regina, graduating two years early at the age of 16 years. He left home and settled in Lajord, SK, working at the Bank of Commerce.
