Funeral For:  Elfrieda Dyck 
Funeral Date: July 18, 2025 
Elfrieda Dyck, 91, of Winnipeg formerly of Brandon, passed away Saturday, July 12th at Bethania Personal Care Home. She is survived by 1 daughter, 2 sons, 2 siters, 1 brother, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband George, 1 sister, and 2 brothers. 
The funeral service for Elfrieda Dyck will be held Friday, July 18th at 2pm at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, with private family interment at Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Brandon.  

Angela Delores Kater, late of Lumsden, SK passed away on July 11, 2025 at the age of 31 years.

She was predeceased by her grandfather, George Barsness; sister, Rachelle Hallberg; and grandfather, Edward Franko.

MORGAN

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John Wade Morgan on Friday July 11th, 2025 in Chaplin, Saskatchewan.  John (Wade) was born on September 7th, 1961, in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia.  He was predeceased by his father, Ted Morgan; mother, Margaret Corkum; brother, George Morgan; mother-in-law, Velma Doucette; father-in-law, Ernest Doucette; brother-in-law, Ernie Doucette; and great-nephew, Evan Graham. 

Dennis John Hagel
October 1947 – July 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dennis John Hagel of Regina, SK, formerly of Estevan, SK, who passed away peacefully at Pasqua Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family, at the age of 77.

Following a private graveside service; all family and friends are invited to join the family to celebrate Dennis’s life at the Royal Canadian Legion in Estevan on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.

April 8th, 1978 – July 11th, 2025

Our family is deeply saddened to announce that Darren Kowerchuk passed away on July 11th, 2025, at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, MB, at the age of 47 after his lengthy battle with Diabetes.

Darren was born April 8th, 1978, in Portage la Prairie, MB, and was the beloved son of Ernie Kowerchuk and the late Sandra Moffat.

Brian Barry McKay, late of Weyburn, SK passed away on July 11, 2025 at the age of 72 years.

There will be no funeral service.

Scott Wyman Obituary

1995 ~ 2025 (age 29)

It is with deep sorrow and broken hearts that the family of Scott Nicholas Wyman announces his sudden passing in Kelowna BC, on Saturday morning, July 12, 2025. 

Born September 22, 1995, Scott was a lively boy who enjoyed his friends greatly and was always looking to build something. He loved camping and he loved the university engineering camp for kids. He moved to Kelowna in the fall of 2016 and found a wonderful basement apartment with Bill and Elaine and lived there till his passing.

VIOLA FAITH JANE THIESSEN (née: Braun)

Viola Faith Jane Thiessen aged 74 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away Monday, July 7th, 2025 in Moose Jaw, after a battle with cancer.  Viola was born in Waldheim, SK on December 31st, 1950. 

WAKEFORD

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jack Wakeford, who lived his entire life at Chaplin, Saskatchewan. Jack passed away on July 10, 2025, at the age of 79, surrounded by family and friends after a life full of hard work, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to his family and community.

Jack began his devotion to his community at the age of 14, when he helped build the Chaplin rink, the current post office and many other community structures.

PHILLIPS

The Family of LYLE OSWALD (OSSIE) PHILLIPS are saddened to announce his passing on July 10th, 2025 surrounded by family.

Dad, Papa, Great Papa had a phenomenal life and will now be reunited with Joanne, his wife of 68 years. He was very excited about meeting up with Mom so they could be together for their 73rd anniversary.
