Funeral Date: October 10, 2024 
Hedi Plett, 88, of Winnipeg passed away Saturday, September 28th at Concordia Hospital. She is survived by 2 daughters, 2 sons, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Peter. 
The funeral service for Hedi Plett will be held Thursday, October 10th at 11am at Elmwood Mennonite Brethren Church, 145 Henderson Highway, with burial at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. 
Donations may be made to MCC.

Funeral For:  Genevieve Manikel 
Funeral Date: October 15, 2024 
Genevieve Manikel, 98, of Morris passed away Tuesday, September 10th at Winnipeg. She is survived by 1 daughter, 3 sons, 1 sister and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Edward. 
A memorial service for Genevieve Manikel will be held Tuesday, October 15th at 2pm at Morris United Church with ash interment at Morris Cemetery. 
Donations may be made to Canadian Foodgrains Bank or Canadian Cancer Society.

Funeral For:  Cornelius Neil Wiebe 
Funeral Date: October 10, 2024 
Cornelius Neil Wiebe, 83, of Winnipeg formerly of Grunthal, passed away Thursday, October 3rd at River Park Gardens. He is survived by his wife Agatha, 2 daughters, 2 sons, 2 sisters, 5 brothers, and their families. He was predeceased by 2 brothers. 
The funeral service for Cornelius Neil Wiebe will be held Thursday, October 10th at 2pm at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach. 
Viewing will be at the chapel prior to the service. 

Elaine Caroline Frost, 84, of Moose Jaw, Sask, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Our beloved mother, Doris Turner, passed away on October 2nd, 2024 in Saskatoon. Mom was born on the family farm north of Swift Current on April 20, 1931. Her parents were Fredrik and Mathilde Johnson who both emigrated from Norway and met in Saskatchewan where they farmed west of Leinan. Mom grew up on the home place along with her two sisters and four brothers, attended the nearby country school of Kilton Hill, and finished her high school in Swift Current.

It is with sadness the family announces the passes of Nancy Smith on October 3, 2024 at the age of 67. She will be sadly missed by her family.

At her request no funeral service will be held. For those wishing memorial donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Society.

Edward H. Mills
1942 – 2024

Edward passed away at his home in Manor, Sask. on October 1, 2024 at the age of 81.

A Public Graveside Service will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Manor Cemetery, with The Rev. Michelle Moore officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Manor Community Hall.

HARRIS

It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Trudie Patricia Doris Harris on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, at the age of 77 years.  Trudie was born in Weyburn, SK on June 18th, 1948.  She was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Doris Harris.

Trudie was a long-time resident of High Park Towers and could be found most mornings at Coffee Row, where she made several friends.  Those who knew her enjoyed her quirky sense of humour and colourful language.

Cameron Bartel, 56, of Morris passed away Thursday, September 26th at Health Sciences Centre. He is survived by his wife Debbie, 1 daughter, 2 sons, and their families.  
The funeral service for Cameron Bartel will be held Tuesday, October 8th at 2pm at Rosenort EMC with private family burial prior to the service at the church cemetery. 
Viewing will be held Monday, October 7th from 7 to 9pm at Rosenort EMC, including a short time of sharing.
