Its with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Ann Perras. She passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, at the age of 89, at Pioneer Lodge in Moose Jaw.

Ann was born on the family farm near Lady Lake, SK. on February 4, 1935, to Onufrey and Veronica (Soyko) Leason, the sixth of eight children. Her early childhood was spent on the homestead, with Sunny Brae school being a two mile walk across the prairie.  The farmhouse was moved to the town of Preeceville in 1950 and she continued her schooling there graduating in 1953. 

The funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 1:00 PM from the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Swift Current, SK with the

Lunch immediately to follow, served by the MCLW.

The Interment Service will be held at approximately 4:00 PM fron the Abbey Cemetery, Abbey, Sk.

Following the Interment, the family welcomes all to join them at the ABC Centre in Abbey for an evening of storytelling and memories.

Veronica Anne De Bruyne (Tummon), late of Weyburn, SK passed away on October 4, 2024 at the age of 71 years. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from  RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, SK with Celebrant Fr. Valentine Amobi.  Interment will be held at the Ceylon Cemetery, Ceylon, SK. For family and friends so wishing, charitable donations in memory of Veronica may be made to the Weyburn Humane Society, P.O. Box 1062, Weyburn, SK, S4H 2L3.

Gladys Osborne Obituary

1937 ~ 2024 (age 86)

It is with profound sadness that the family of Gladys Osborne announce her passing on

Saturday, October 5th, 2024, just shy of her 87th birthday.

Gladys will be lovingly remembered by her 4 children: Glenda (Chuck) Henne,

Deb (Pat) Holland, Brian Johnson, and Kevin Johnson.

Gladys was a beloved grandmother and GG to many.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 10th, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the United Church in Kindersley.

The Funeral Service for Mr. Wilf Funk will take place on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church.

The interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK.

Kurt Holmes Obituary

1984 ~ 2024 (age 40)

It is with profound sadness that the family of Kurt Holmes announce his sudden passing on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024 at the young age of 40.

Kurt will be lovingly remembered by his fiancé Kara Blackburn;

his stepdaughter Ella; parents Garnet and Rhonda Holmes;

siblings Karly Holmes, Kyle (Amy) Holmes, Kendall (Nikeya) Holmes;

Cornie Thiessen, 87 of Steinbach formerly of Hadashville, passed away Wednesday, October 2nd at Rest Haven Care Home. He is survived by 1 daughter, 4 sons, and their families. He was predeceased by his wife Mary and 1 grandson. 
The funeral service for Cornie Thiessen will be held Wednesday, October 9th at 11am at Ridgewood Church, Giroux with burial at the church cemetery.  
Viewing will be at Birchwood Funeral Chapel Tuesday, October 8th at 7pm and at the church prior to the service.

Funeral Date: October 10, 2024 
Hedi Plett, 88, of Winnipeg passed away Saturday, September 28th at Concordia Hospital. She is survived by 2 daughters, 2 sons, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Peter. 
The funeral service for Hedi Plett will be held Thursday, October 10th at 11am at Elmwood Mennonite Brethren Church, 145 Henderson Highway, with burial at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.

Funeral Date: October 15, 2024 
Genevieve Manikel, 98, of Morris passed away Tuesday, September 10th at Winnipeg. She is survived by 1 daughter, 3 sons, 1 sister and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Edward. 
A memorial service for Genevieve Manikel will be held Tuesday, October 15th at 2pm at Morris United Church with ash interment at Morris Cemetery. 
Donations may be made to Canadian Foodgrains Bank or Canadian Cancer Society.
