Funeral For:  David Klassen 
David Klassen, 79 of Edmonton formerly of the R-M of Rhineland, passed away Thursday, July 25th at Edmonton. He is survived by his wife Helen, 2 daughters, and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Elisabeth Klassen, and siblings. 
Cremation has taken place. 
A memorial service for David Klassen will be held Saturday, August 17th at 2pm at Altona EMMC. Ash Interment will be held September 7th at Tawatinaw Valley Cemetery, Alberta.

Darlene Beatrice Goethals

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Darlene Beatrice Goethals at her home on July 30, 2024, at the age of 59 years. 

Darlene was born in Imperial, SK., on May 5, 1965.  Darlene grew up on a farm and had a special love for her farm pets.  She loved bugging her two older brothers…they not so much. 

Marilyn Jean (Trautwein) Clary

Marilyn passed away peacefully in her sleep at the long term care home in Leader on July 23, 2024. Mom was born in 1930 and raised on a farm north of Leader by her parents Gustav and Mollie Trautwein. She grew up with four siblings: Eleanor, Robert, Elaine, and Carol. She is predeceased by all of them with the exception of her youngest sister Carl (Wickenheiser) who resides in Medicine Hat. 

Valerie Ruth Hartman

It is with heavy hearts that the Family of Valerie Ruth Hartman announce her passing on Sunday, July 28, 2024. Valerie, age 70, passed away peacefully at the Kyle Health Centre in Kyle Saskatchewan. 

Valerie was born at the Kyle/White Bear Union Hospital on December 28, 1953 to Harold and Esther Shaw. Valerie attended school at White Bear and Kyle Saskatchewan. 

Hillstead, Marlene Joyce

Marlene Joyce Hillstead, late of Weyburn, SK passed away on July 22, 2024 at the age of 85 years.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, SK with Nancy Styles officiating.  Luncheon will follow at the Knox Fellowship Hall, 136 ~ 2nd Street NE, Weyburn, SK. Interment will be held at Green Acres Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Weyburn, SK.  Urn Bearer is Ryan Hillstead and all those in attendance are considered honorary pallbearers.

Robert "Wayne" Johnstone

Robert “Wayne” Johnstone

 

Wayne was born May 11, 1939, in Moose Jaw and passed away July 29, 2024, at the Dr.  F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital.  He grew up on a farm southwest of Moose Jaw, attended Cobourg country school to grade 8 and then Moose Jaw Technical High School.  He received his Diploma in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan in 1960.  In 1961 he attended the Reich American School of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa, and then continued to auction and farm with his father.

George passed away peacefully at the Estevan Regional Nursing Home, Estevan, Sask. on July 29, 2024, at the age of 85.

The Memorial Service for George will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Hall Funeral Services in Estevan with Rev. Sharon Kane officiating. Following the service, please join the family for a time of fellowship and refreshments in the small hall at the Royal Canadian Legion in Estevan. Interment will take place in the Bienfait Cemetery, Bienfait, Sask.

Beloved wife of the late Philip Bachmier, mother of Betty (David) Nobert and Jerry (Noleen) Bachmier, grandmother of Derek, Dayna, Travis, Tanya (Adam), Sherra and great-grandmother of Bentley.

The funeral for Helen Unrau will be held Thursday, August 1st at 11am at Douglas Mennonite Church, Winnipeg, with burial at Sage Creek Cemetery, Springfield.
