Peacefully on June 6, 2025, Kenneth “Ken” Vicars passed away with his daughter by his side at Lions Prairie Manor at the age of 96 years.

Peacefully with his family by his side, Roy Lyall passed away on May 28, 2025, at the Lions Prairie Manor at the age of 103 years.

Donald McCulloch

Peacefully on June 4, 2025, Donald “Don” McCulloch of Oakville, MB passed away at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 96 years.

Anne Curtis (nee Andruski)

February 7, 1934 -November 8, 2024

Peacefully on November 8, 2024, Anne Curtis earned her wings and went to be with the Lord, at the age of 90 years.

Mom was born in North Ridge and grew up there, moving to Portage at a young age. She spent her younger life living and working in Winnipeg. She raised her family in Oakville and Portage.

Gregory Keith McLeod
October 12, 1960 – May 23, 2025

After a 19 month, hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer, Greg McLeod passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025 at the age of 64 years.

It is with heavy hearts we note the passing of our dear Mom, Joan Evelyn MacRae (née Pettit).  Joan was predeceased by her husband, Jack, in 1988, brothers Ray (Winnie), Bud, Lloyd (Lillian), Fred (Fran) and also granddaughter, Lindsay in 1998. Joan leaves to mourn her son Dan (Betty), daughters Gayle (Alan), and Cathy.  Also left to mourn are her grandchildren Garrett, Haley, Carter, Kristyn, Janessa, Caitlan, Rebecca and Daniel and great grandson Colten along with numerous nieces, nephews and Mom’s very special friend Louise Hourie. 

Marilynn Ann Lawrence  (nee Mernett)
June 9, 1942-May 16, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marilynn Ann Lawrence on May 16, 2025 at Portage District General Hospital with her family by her side.

Marilynn was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and wonderful friend to many.

Peacefully on May 14, 2025, Paul Caslor passed away at home in his yard at the age of 74 years.

Peacefully on May 12, 2025, Dale Lee passed away at the Salem Home in Winkler, MB at the age of 91 years.

Harvey Watson

It is with deep sadness that the family of Harvey Wayne Watson of Rossendale, Manitoba, announces his peaceful passing on May 5, 2025.

Born on February 22, 1941, in Portage la Prairie to John and Bertha (Orton) Watson, Harvey was raised in Rossendale where he developed a deep connection to his community, the land, and a lifelong appreciation for life’s simple joys. Dad was a devoted family man, who lived a full and meaningful life surrounded by the love of those closest to him.
