Federal Court dismisses challenge of Trudeau's move to prorogue Parliament

A federal judge has dismissed a legal challenge of Justin Trudeau's move to prorogue Parliament, concluding the prime minister did not exceed the bounds of his authority.

Two Nova Scotia men had asked the Federal Court to declare the current suspension of Parliament illegal because there must be a "reasonable justification" for hitting the pause button.

David MacKinnon of Amherst, N.S., and Aris Lavranos of Halifax sought an order setting aside Trudeau's January decision to advise Gov. Gen. Mary Simon to exercise her power to prorogue Parliament until March 24.

Ripple of hope: Clean water and gospel reviving Africa’s largest slum

In the largest slum in Africa, there is a ministry shining the light of Jesus and bringing hope through clean water.

In Kenya, there is a place known as Kibera. It is known as one of the "darkest, filthiest, and most hopeless places in the world." Not only does this slum not have the basic necessities like clean water or sanitation, it's overrun with gang violence.

The 'houses' in Kibera are usually eight feet by eight feet, created out of mud, used for sleeping and sitting.

A song of praise

Psalm 8:1–2

Having worshipped God in a short doxology, David reflects on the greatness of his God and, in doing so, offers praise. Observe as King David takes his place before a congregation of believers to lead them in worship.

[You] have displayed Your splendour above the heavens!
From the mouth of infants and nursing babes You have established strength
Because of Your adversaries,
To make the enemy and the revengeful cease. (Psalm 8:1–2)
