Warm weather closes outdoor rinks, but MCC skating oval remains open
Due to warm temperatures, outdoor rinks in Grande Prairie are now closed, and hockey nets have been removed.
Residents are asked to avoid using these surfaces. However, the ice at the MCC Skating Oval remain open, with city crews working to maintain it.
If temperatures drop below freezing again, the rinks will reopen; otherwise, they will stay closed for the season.

Arizona church puts a faith-filled spin on The Office-inspired series
A church in Arizona has stepped outside the box, releasing a lighthearted spoof of The Office, this time, offering a comedic peek inside the church office.
Christ Greenfield Church released the first episode of The Church Office at the end of 2024 and it was well received by all.
"This was randomly in my recommended videos and I’m so glad that it was!," said one fan. "As a Christian and a huge fan of The Office, this was a fun crossover!"

Newsboys announce new music as they step into a new chapter
As they settle into their new lineup, the Newsboys are gearing up to release fresh music.
It was about a month and a half ago when Michael Tait announced that after 15 years, he was stepping down as the band's lead singer.
Since then, Adam Agee, a guitarist with the Newsboys for three years, was been promoted to frontman.
"The last six weeks have been quite a journey, but through it all, God has continually shown His faithfulness to us," said the band in a post on social media. "We are excited about our future, just the four of us."

U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday that 25 per cent across-the-board tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico, with a lower 10 per cent levy on Canadian energy, will start Tuesday, tipping the continent into a trade war.
"No room left for Mexico or for Canada (to make a deal)," Trump said at the White House.
Trump's executive order to implement economywide tariffs was delayed until Tuesday after Canada and Mexico agreed to introduce new security measures at the border.
