Due to icy road conditions, all Peace Wapiti School Division, Valhalla Community School and all Dawson Creek SD 59 school buses are not running today.

Prayers continue to pour in for a pair of Kindergarten students who were shot after a gunman opened fire at their Christian school earlier this week. 

The shooting took place Wednesday afternoon at Feather River Adventist School in California.

The Butte County Sheriff's Department began receiving calls about the shooting shortly after 1 p.m. Officers quickly attended to the scene where they found two wounded students and the suspect dead with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Jeremy Camp is at home following knee replacement surgery on Wednesday. 

Camp's wife, Adrienne, posted to Jeremy's Instagram story sharing the news. "Hi! Adrienne here. Jeremy is home and resting."

Adrienne said the surgery went well and, "He's such a trooper."

Helping Hands, a division of Northreach Society is holding their 11th annual Adopt-a-Family initiative.  

This year they are supporting around 230 families in the community with presents and food for Christmas.  

They are still looking for people and organizations that would be interested in adopting one of these families.  

TobyMac is preparing to release his first new album in two years. 

He announced Thursday on his social media that he is currently in the sequencing and mastering phase of this new project.

"I’ve been workin' for a couple of years on this thing!!" said TobyMac in a post on Instagram. "All I can tell you is I am grateful to God for the songs He has breathed through me and it could be my best solo album to date."

The actor who portrayed Jesus Christ during the crucifixion on film, Jim Caviezel, recently opened up during an interview to talk about his suffering during filming. 

"I was struck by lightning during the last shot of the movie," says Caviezel during an interview with TBN. 

Ahead of the 35th anniversary of the Montreal Massacre on Friday, Annie Ross, a mechanical engineering professor at Polytechnique Montréal, said she often thinks of those who lived through the tragedy but still suffer silently.

On Dec. 6, 1989, a man motivated by a hatred of feminists shot and killed 14 women and injured 13 other people at the Montreal engineering school affiliated with Université de Montréal.

Ross was in her fourth year in mechanical engineering at Polytechnique, and narrowly avoided the gunman. Her friends weren't as lucky.

As the Canada Post strike hits the three-week mark, the union representing more than 55,000 postal workers says it has sent new counter-proposals to the government-appointed mediator. 

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers said in a bulletin Wednesday evening that it's ready to get back to federal mediation, which was put on pause last week.
