Although the weather this weekend may not be sunny and plus 30 there is no bad time to camp if you come prepared according to Shauna Smuk Regional Director for the Southwest with Sask Parks. 

Smuk adds that all parks are looking forward to visitors arriving this weekend for their opening weekend. 

There are currently no fire restrictions in place at the parks for this weekend but Smuk points out that even when restrictions are in place, campers can still use gas bbq's, pressurized stoves and propane fire pits.

School zone safety continues to improve in Shaunavon thanks to a $22,603 SGI Provincial Traffic Safety Fund Grant they have received.

Additional funding received a year ago was used to install flashing crosswalk signs and these will now be added to as Bylaw Office for the Town of Shaunavon, Bonnie Lingenfelter explains.
