Katherine “Kay” Letkeman

1931 - 2022

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our Mom, Katherine “Kay” (nee Neustaeter) Letkeman on December 25th, 2022.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Ivan of 66 years. She was also predeceased by her parents, Aron and Anna Neustaeter, in laws Henry and Maria, 5 brothers and 3 sisters and a sister in infancy.

Forever remembered by her children, Stan (Janet), Bob (Wilma), Sandra (Randy), Kathy (Barry) and Debby (Ellis).

Carole Ann Ingram

September 28th, 1939 – December 15th, 2022

On Thursday, December 15th, 2022, Carole A. Ingram, of Swan River MB (formerly of Portage la Prairie, MB) passed away at Swan Valley Lodge at the age of 83. She is predeceased by her late husband Robert M. Ingram, and her son Scott Ingram. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Kim (Ed) Miller, granddaughter Robyn (Michael) Gosselin, grandsons Jamie Miller and Nicholas Ingram, daughter in-law Denise Ingram, and 9 great-grandchildren.

David Ian Gair  1935-2022

It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Dave Gair, on Wednesday, December 8th, 2022 in Portage La Prairie, at the age of 87 years old.

Dave was predeceased by his parents David and Mary of Portage La Prairie, brother Jack, brother-in-law Yeigi Inouye and nephew Martin of Calgary.

Spinks, Janice Caroline

August 24th, 1955 – December 1st, 2022

Peacefully on December 1st, 2022, Janice Spinks of Portage la Prairie passed away in the Portage & District General Hospital.

Janice was predeceased by parents Lawrence & Isobel (Burns)Spinks. She is survived by her sister Linda (Bernie) Brecknell from Bagot and daughters Jennifer Boychuk (Darrel) from Winnipeg and Carolynn Brecknell (Mark Pallau) from B.C.

Peacefully on November 22nd, 2022 with family by his side in his home at the Douglas Campbell Lodge, Portage la Prairie, MB. Mr. Harold Arthur “Roy” Braden entered into rest at the age of 88 years.

Roy was born on September 16th, 1934 in Portage la Prairie where he spent most of his life working having only two specific jobs. One was surveying and the other was the Campbell’s Soup Company where he worked until his retirement.

George Murdock Moar

1935 - 2022

It is with deep sadness that the family of George Murdock Moar “Scotty” announce that on November 11th, 2022 at the age of 87 and with family by his side that he peacefully entered into eternal rest.

Russell Arthur Ward

February 10th, 1929 – October 25th, 2022

Peacefully, with family by his side, on Tuesday October 25th, 2022, Russell Arthur Ward passed away at the Portage District Hospital at the age of 93 years and 8 months. Russell was born in Portage la Prairie on February 10th, 1929, the fifth born child of Edward and Nellie Kate Ward. He grew up on the shores of Delta Marsh with his 4 older siblings: Peter, Joan, Eileen, and Tory; as well as his younger siblings; Sheila and Beulah.

Joyce Irene “Renie” Lyall

1931 – 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and sister, falling asleep in death October 13th, 2022 at the age of 91.

Howard Roehle

1944 – 2022

Howard was born on February 12th, 1944 to Sam and Florence Roehle. He grew up with his siblings Joan, Fred, Bob, and Rhoda and attended the local Irwington School. He completed his education at Stonewall Collegiate in 1961.

Howard was a farmer at heart and continued the dairy farm on Blackdale Rd. that his parents started in 1937.

He married Karen Farough on October 13th, 1972 and together, they raised their family, Kendal, Andrea, Warren, and Erika on the farm which is now entering the fourth generation.

Arthur Molodowic

1938 - 2022

On September 8, 2022 at 9:05 am Arthur Molodowic took his final breath on this earth with his family by his side, telling him that we would be alright. This is exactly what dad wanted to hear. He was 84 years old.
