Prime Minister Mark Carney is giving his cabinet a major shakeup, moving several key players involved in Canada-U.S. relations into new positions and promoting 24 new faces to the front bench.
Carney's cabinet — 28 full ministers and 10 secretaries of state — retains prominent figures from former prime minister Justin Trudeau's government, including Dominic LeBlanc, Mélanie Joly, Chrystia Freeland and François-Philippe Champagne.

Lions Club secures loan from city to make Rusty Duce ice rink permanent
An Estevan organization will look to make a seasonal attraction a permanent fixture of a local park, and is looking for support from the City of Estevan to do it. The Estevan Lions Club has, after gathering a good amount of money on their own, asked the City of Estevan to pitch in money to make the rink boards at Rusty Duce Park a permanent feature.
The new, permanent rink will be the same size as the old replaceable one, with the new rink being installed by Athletic Sport Systems.

Carlyle RCMP looking for information on suspect of cash and hamster theft
The Caryle RCMP is hoping for a bit of help from the public in identifying a person of interest in a recent break and enter case.
Early in the morning of May 9, three businesses were broken into, with a few hundred dollars in cash stolen in Carlyle. RCMP also believe that the suspect stole a hamster that belonged to one of the business owners.
