The Saskatchewan RCMP wants to keep people aware of dangers on the road as the summer season is starting up, and Canada Road Safety Week begins.
Recently, the southeast saw a few road incidents, including a pair of fatal crashes, with the RCMP hoping to give tips on how to prevent similar road incidents.

Carlyle RCMP looking for information on suspect of cash and hamster theft
The Caryle RCMP is hoping for a bit of help from the public in identifying a person of interest in a recent break and enter case.
Early in the morning of May 9, three businesses were broken into, with a few hundred dollars in cash stolen in Carlyle. RCMP also believe that the suspect stole a hamster that belonged to one of the business owners.
UPDATE: Man charged in homicide appears in Estevan court
Update:
A bail hearing for Evan Isbister is set for June 20 in Estevan’s Court of King’s Bench. He is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 60-year-old Todd Isbister earlier this year.
His case was in Estevan Provincial Court on June 16, where it was confirmed that the bail hearing would go ahead. His lawyer, Aleida Oberholzer, said she received a report for the bail hearing and will ask for an update on electronic monitoring.
The rest of his case remains in provincial court, where he is scheduled to appear again on June 30.
Estevan fire chief gives advice on controlled burns and how to report them
Estevan Fire Rescue is sending out a notice for people to be aware during the warmer season, as fires can get out of control if not properly managed.
Landowners may be performing controlled burns over the next few months to clear land and for other reasons.

Homicide investigation underway in Estevan, suspect charged
The Estevan Police Service is investigating a homicide.
At around 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence on the 1400 block of 1st Street.
When officers arrived, they found three adult males at the scene. Two were arrested without incident and taken to the Estevan Police Service. EMS treated a 60-year-old male victim at the scene and transported him to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
