Roy Donald Schafer

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roy Donald Schafer (born Timmel) on Thursday, August 8th, 2024.  Roy fought stomach cancer longer than he let on and finally asked to go the hospital just 10 days before he passed away. 

Zena May Robinson

It is with great sadness the family of Zena Robinson aged 90 years of Moose Jaw, SK, announce her passing on Thursday, August 8th, 2024. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Larry Robinson; and her special friend, Ken Poole.  Zena is survived by her children: Deborah, Curtis, and Roberta (Paul); grandchildren: Shannon, Shawn, Crystal (Myron), and Nicole; and great-grandchildren: Georgia, Lexi, Paige, Cole, and Sawyer.

Grace Stafford

August 24th, 1948 - August 4th, 2024

 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, wife and mother, Grace Stafford, at the age of 75 years.  She was born Grace Kehler on August 24th, 1948, in Morris, Manitoba, the youngest of 12 children.  Grace was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 4th, 2024, at the Regina General Hospital, with her loving family by her side.

Otto Barry Kempel

It is with profound sadness that we announce that Otto Kempel has passed away.  Otto left the world peacefully in his home on Sunday, August 4th, 2024, with his family by his side. 

Otto was born on April 10th, 1937, to Isabelle and Otto Sr. in Moose Jaw, SK.  He grew up on south hill, attending King Edward School.  Otto’s love for sport began at a young age with pick up hockey, basketball, and baseball.  Those were the days when kids would play outside for hours, and Otto spoke of these times often with fond memories. 

Edward John Smallwood

SMALLWOOD

8 June 1932 – 30 July 2024

Edward John Smallwood was born in Edmonton, AB and moved to Moose Jaw, SK in 1970.  He was posted with 15 Wing Moose Jaw as an instrumentation electrician tech until he retired in 1978.  During retirement, John worked as a security guard at Kalium and he also drove taxi.  John loved gardening and especially feeding and watching the birds.  John will be missed by everyone who knew him especially his daughter, Diane and son-in-law, Lloyd. 

Dwayne Patrick St. Dennis

It is with great sadness the family of Dwayne Patrick St. Dennis announces his passing on Saturday, July 27th, 2024, at the age of 68 years.  He was predeceased by Deborah McGillis; his mother, Patricia Pierce (St. Dennis); grandfather, Patrice St. Denis; and grandmother, Josephte St. Denis.  Dwayne will be sadly missed by his siblings: Brian, Daryle, and Lori (Ken); son, Patrick (Heather); nephews, Luke and Evan; grandchildren: Tye, Emma, and Allison; and great friends, Sandy and Tom. 

Carmen Wade Keeler

KEELER

Carmen Wade Keeler aged 67 years of Keeler, SK, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 1st, 2024.  Wade was born October 22nd, 1956, in Moose Jaw, SK to Allister and Patricia Keeler.  He was the youngest of three children.  The first ten years of his life were spent on the Keeler farm.  He took the first 5 grades of his education in Keeler, belonged to the cub scouts, and played with the hockey team.  He liked to do all the things busy, curious, young boys do.
