A traffic incident northbound on the QEII past CrossIron Mills Mall has been cleared.

Previously, motorists noted that several fire trucks were on the scene, causing heavy traffic delays.

A collision north of Airdrie and west of Crossfield towards Madden has been cleared. 

A fog advisory is now in place for Airdrie and surrounding areas. Environment Canada reports dense fog with near-zero visibility, which is expected to persist through the morning before lifting this afternoon.

Due to reduced visibility, travel conditions may be hazardous.

Drivers are urged to slow down, remain cautious, and watch for tail lights from other vehicles. They should also be prepared to stop suddenly if conditions worsen.

With only days away from the Santa Claus Parade, Airdrie residents are reminded of road closures this weekend.

Drivers in Airdrie are waking up to foggy conditions this morning, with visibility reduced in patches across the region. The fog is expected to dissipate later this morning, making way for mainly cloudy skies.

The QEII towards Calgary is experiencing reduced visibility, and area highways may have slick sections. Visibility is also expected to be reduced on some of Calgary's major roads, with icy sections. 

Shortly after 10 a.m., a fog advisory was issued for Airdrie. 

Four individuals were seriously injured in a two-vehicle, head-on collision on Monday evening near Airdrie. Police, however, underlined that no fatalities were reported as of Tuesday morning. All four people were transported to the hospital, with one individual being transported via STARS air ambulance. 

A Monday night collision southwest of Airdrie, which shut down a portion of the road, has been cleared.

On Monday night, Mounties confirmed that responders were on the scene of a two-vehicle head-on collision on Township Road 264 and Range Road 11, just southwest of Airdrie, just south of the intersection.

Local RCMP and safety experts are offering tips to help Airdrie residents stay alert while driving during the winter months.

A multi-vehicle collision in the vicinity of 8 Street and 40 Avenue has been cleared.
